What is DHA?

DHA is Dihydroxyacetone, aka glycerone which is a simple carbohydrate typically derived from sugar beets and sugar cane.

What should I do to prepare for a spray tan?

Exfoliate - 12-24 hours before

Take off all products on skin - this includes lotions, perfumes, deoderant etc. that can act as a barrier.

Should I shower right before?

No - try to shower at least a few hours before getting sprayed. Showering immediately before will cause pores to open which may cause a “freckling” appearance.

What do I wear to my spray tan appointment?

Dark, loose fitting clothing is recommended.

You may wear your own undergarments or we can provide disposables for you to use.

When can I shower after my spray tan?

Wait 6-8 hours after being sprayed to shower.

We recommend rinsing off in a cool shower with a gentle moisturizing cleanser and your hand.

How do I keep my tan beautiful?

Moisturize - we recommend twice a day, especially after showering to lock in moisture.

Pat dry after showering.

Avoid abrasive products and products containing mineral oil.

Avoid excessive sweating and water submersion.

Are there any contraindications to spray tanning?

Anyone with health risks such as pregnancy, allergies, diabetes, or respiratory problems should consult their doctor prior to spray tanning.

My skin looks like alligator skin after being sprayed - what can I do?

Exfoliate and Moisturize!

It is best to exfoliate 24-48 hours before being sprayed and make sure you are moisturizing with a high quality moisturizer twice daily.

Why might my spray tan look uneven after a few days?

The spray tan affects the outermost layer of skin so as you go about your daily activities some areas of skin may rub more than others causing some of your tan to rub off. This may also happen as a result of shaving or sweating excessively.

How long before my spray should I shave or wax?

It is recommended to shave 12-18 hours before your sunless tan. If you are waxing we recommend getting sprayed at least 24 hours after your wax.

How can I keep my hands and feet from looking splotchy?

Applying barrier cream to the feet and hands as well as any dryer areas of skin will help prevent this.

Why do I feel tacky/wet after getting a spray tan?

Our aloe based solutions will give you this feeling after being sprayed because of the nourishing benefits of the aloe vera. Alcohol based solutions will dry faster but also dry out the skin and tend to fade faster.

How long will the spray tan last?

With proper preparation steps and a good aftercare routine our spray tans may last up to 12 days. The alcohol based solutions will result in fewer days because of the drying ingredients where our aloe based solutions will increase the spray tan duration.

What makes these products considered organic/all natural?

Our solutions are made using only fresh, naturally derived ingredients. It is PETA approved, certified Vegan and excludes harmful ingredients like Erythrulose and parabens. It also meets all administered qualifications to be considered organic by the U.S.
